Tamila Barkalaia Hosts High Level Delegation from Belgium
Deputy Minister of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labor, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia, Tamila Barkalaia hosted State Secretary of the Kingdom of Belgium for Asylum and Migration, Nicole de Moor and other members of the delegation.
The participants of the meeting reflected on the issues of working migration, migrants’ rights and circular working migration. Importance of regulation of working migration in Georgia and introduction of planned amendments to law was highlighted.
According to State Secretary of the Kingdom of Belgium for Asylum and Migration, Nicole de Moor, one of the ways to overcome migration challenges in Georgia is raising public awareness to protect citizens from illegal migration.
As stated by Tamila Barkalaia at the meeting, the Government of Georgia actively works on development of cooperation between the countries in the field of labour migration.
