Zurab Azarashvili Attends Opening of the World Health Assembly
Minister of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labor, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia, Zurab Azarashvili pays official visit to Switzerland.
Zurab Azarashvili attended opening of the 75th World Health Assembly in Geneva. The theme of this year’s Health Assembly is: Health for peace, peace for health.
The Minister of Health will deliver a speech at the 75th WHA.
First Deputy Minister, Tamar Gabunia, Permanent Representative of Georgia to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva, Alexander Maisuradze participate in official and working meetings together with Zurab Azarashvili.
Within the framework of the visit, Minister of Health of Georgia met with WHO Regional Director for Europe.
Zurab Azarashvili thanked Hans Henri P. Kluge for assistance rendered to Georgia by the WHO and highlighted that the WHO is an important partner for Georgia.
The participants of bilateral meeting reflected on joint projects and aspects of future cooperation. They dwelt upon assistance of the WHO and involvement of their experts in terms of Georgia Health System Strengthening.
