Ministry of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labor, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia Starts Monitoring of Medical Institutions
Ministry of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labor, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia has started comprehensive monitoring of medical institutions.
In this connection, Mr. Zaza Bokhua, First Deputy Minister has convened a briefing.
During last 2 weeks Regulation Agency for Medical Activities has inspected 30 medical institutions. Irregularities of different types, associated with illegal medical activities, improper proceeding of medical documentations, breach of the conditions of licensing, granting of rights and technical regulations were revealed. In total 20 protocols were elaborated.
Countrywide up to 2800 registered medical institutions will be inspected without prior notice.
Each clinic will be inspected in terms of infrastructure, equipment, medical personnel, infection control measures, functioning of internal quality control system, the specific conditions of medical service delivery representing basis for quality and safety of medical services.
According to the results of monitoring the effective measures aimed at further improvement of the medical services in the country will be taken.
